This piece was the grail for me at the con. You have to understand, I’ve been trying to get an original from Mark for almost 3 years now. I came close so many times, but it never worked out. I got to know Mark a bit more thanks to the wonders of social media, I came to respect the guy and appreciate his work even more. I came really, really close to getting something from him at SDCC and Dragon*Con earlier this year…but things always came up and he couldn’t get to me. This time, he put me at the top of the list. Imagine how thrilled I was when I saw Mark’s wife Lisa tweet to me telling me that my sketch was done. Worth the wait, and then some. Thanks, Mark and Lisa.
